Does anyone know if I could replace the tyres on my mondeo which are 215 55 r16 with 205 55 r16 tyres from an mk3 mondeo?

I know I probably couldn't replace just one but could I replace all 4?

    Thanks in advance

I did it before. You'll find the ride isn't as good though.

Why not? Does it make that much difference?

I was going to stuck on 4 x 205 55 r16 onto my existing steel rims because I need new tyres and can get a set of 205 55 r16 cheaper than what I have in the car at the minute (215 55 r16)

Some of those Mondeos came with 205/55 16 from new so there should be no issue changing from 215/55 as long as you do all 4 together.
