Planning a new build and just looking at groupsets at the moment, thinking of going with sram force but looks like 6800 is due in mid July. Is the 11 speed worth going with Ultegra for? Anyone ride 11 speed atm, what you think of it? What would you go with, a lighter Sram force, 6800 or 6700 (hope the cost drops when 6800 is launched)?

I ride 11 speed Campag and I like having that extra gear, but that aspect of it is a personal choice. On the practical level, from what I've read the Ultegra 11 speed chainset can take either regular or compact chainrings, which could be useful versatility to have in the one spider.

But be careful of your choice of wheelset as Shimano 11 speed uses a slightly wider cassette so not all existing 10 speed wheelsets will be compatible - I think that Mavic freehubs are wide enough to work for both 10 and 11 speed, and there may be others too, but it's something to check carefully.

Cheers Doozerie, didn't even consider the compatibility with wheels!

I'm riding dura ace 9000 fabulous group set the change/shift is fantastic .The only problem is the wheels I've had to buy new ones and been lucky enough to have been able to change cassette body on my power tap .Most Mavic wheels are all ready 11 speed compatible going back at least for years that's why they run the spacer on the freehub bodies shimano or campagnolo.Im sure the new ultegra will be every bit as good

I like SRAM, so I'm biased, so I'd say go with Force (don't forget Force 22 is out very soon giving you 11speed SRAM)... though Ultegra is a good couple of hundred quid cheaper.

My second choice would most likely be Chorus
