    Hi all,

    Have a 2010 megane coupe 1.5 diesel 5 speed,

Great car and fairly quick for what it is however I was wondering there is a few places that will remap a car got prices around 280-400 euro,

However what I am asking is can this go wrong and destroy your car in any way ? and also is it legal to have done ? I do around 40k a year its alot I know but 650k a week would be normal with work,

Can my insurance or ntc crowd find out ?

Reason i want it remapped is to increase fuel efficiency mainly not to break speed limits or go racing in any way shape or form.

Some help with advice on who to go to would be great too.

If hes not a decent tuner he can blow your engine. Make it worse than the original map.
    Loads to go wrong.

Get recommendations. A good tuner is safe out. And well worth it

With all manufacturers taking emissions very seriously, I don't know how much better mpg you can expect than you're getting already.

Main worry I'd have would be your warranty

35e for a courtesy car? Shop around for servicing and deals. Although i'd rather pay 35e for a courtesy car from a good garage than get a free one from a bad garage.

As for remapping of course it can go wrong,in the same way an oil change or a routine service can if you let the wrong person carry out the work. Do your home work and bring your car to a good tuner - they will talk it over with you.

I would recommend Joe Power at TRD performance/Chipped Ire.
