There are several factors you could check that might give a clue.
    Are they remould tyres?
    What brand are they?
Are they the correct fit for the wheels?
How old are they? (date code is after the DOT number)
    Any sign of accident damage?

I dont know if they are remoulds sorry.
Brand is Pace, model is pc20
    They are correct
Dot code is strange; DOT P2RR A28C (the c could be a 0)
    No accident damage.

Sometimes the date code is on only one side of the tyre, so it may be on the inside face of the tyre (or check the other tyre ). It will be a four digit number, two digits for the week and two digits for the year, for example 4711 would mean it was made on the 47th week of 2011.

However, your problem may be down to the brand, here's a thread about Pace tyres: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=78385335

Thanks, other side had the 0510, so Feb 10. I was planning on swopping them out in any case. I swopped the front Dextero branded tires a few months back for Multihawks which are a world better. I have 1000miles to do by the weekend but will get them done monday i think.

That wheel has been kerbed at some stage, your photography skills make it difficult to figure what is going on at the bead but I'm going to guess the tyre was unseated and when it was repaired the fitter put some bead sealant on it.

Its not wear and its nothing to worry about unless its got a slow puncture.

Thanks I'll still get them done I think, going around roundabouts in the wet is still a bit too reminiscent of 'Tokyo Drift' for my liking.:D
