system restore failure

Hi all having trouble with system restore.when i go to system restore its turned on but when i go to look for a restore point it says none has been created so i go and create one and that seems to BUT when i go back in to system restore to look for the restore point i created it's not there.windows 7.

Seems to be a common problem...some fixes on that page though. Or possible fixes I should say S:
