Difference in Car Hire

So i'm looking to hire a 7 seater in august in Rome and so far it's looking expensive. Approx €850 -€1100 depending on the company.

However if i go through expedia australia i can get a car at €590.

Is this ok to book using a country outside of the one i am living in?

Or...does anyone know where i can book a cheap people carrier in rome for a week in august?

Does it ask country of residence and did you say Ireland? If so id say its fine.

check the insurance inclusions, liabilities ect, if the t and c are the same, go for it, if not, be careful and make sure your willing to take some "risks".

also, check your travel insurance before you go as you may not need some of the extra insurance that the rental companies offer, sometimes its covered in your travel insurance.

there shouldn't be any issues with renting a car from the .au site, but, just dont go for the "its cheaper" option, it could cost you a fortune in the insurances when you get there.
