    Hi has anyone ever heard of this Actelis product?
    I am out in the sticks on a 3meg eircom bb connection and 4.4 Km from the exchange. This could be promising!

    Promising how? It's not the kind of thing you fit yourself.

    'promising' meaning that maybe Eircom would get off their ass and start fitting these if the price was right so that people out in the sticks might have a shot at a decent bb speed. I guess we will be waiting:p

    These "extenders" have been available for years, eircom have shown no interest in deploying them:(

    Yup, there's nothing new about them and they've been dropping in price a lot too.
    Eircom could have deployed them if they wanted to.
