I don't know about being the next big thing, but he's certainly one to look out for. From what I've seen of him so far, he's going to be a hard guy to beat rather than a star, but I suppose time will tell.

Eddie Hearn talking about him fighting Rickay Burns in the New Year today.

That would be interesting... Ricky needs a big (convincing) win in his next bout

I'd say he would pick Ricky Burns apart.

Abril and Vasquez aswell I think would give him nightmares.

The jury is out on Burns. He's far better than his last outing. Next fight is a big one

Burns should win his next one. Was announced he's fighting Beltran.

I really like Burns, probably one of the most improved fighters ever but when he comes up against the likes of Abril, Vasquez or Crawford he's going to struggle. But still an outstanding achivement by Burns so far to be a two weight world champion making multiple defences and he has proved he is a world class fighter. A real likeable guy as well!

Terence Crawford, untested yet. Last year it was Mike Jones being "the next big thing" albeit at welterweight. Then Randall Bailey came and sparked him out. Serious performances against genuine prospects/contenders are what proves it to me.

Too many boxers these days beating bum, journeyman, bum, guys whos nearly dead etc and getting too much credit. Deontay Wilder being one!

Agree but the big problem is far to much is put on having that 0 taking the tough fights at like 12 or 13 fights means say you loose 2 of the 3 tough fights then you are pushed way way back and people look and see a guy who is 15- 2 and think he is nothing but he may have lost to really good guys

He's already beaten a few decent-to-good fighters. Absolutely nothing like Deontay Wilder.

My comparison to Wilder was simply to highlight the hype. I like Crawford, I just want him to do it on merit and not because of him being hyped beyond belief!

Yeah, I get what you mean. He's good but I highly doubt he'll be the next PPV superstar, or a P4P-type talent. He's quite good, would probably be hyper-competitive with any lightweight on the planet.
