Medieval Mayhem in Malahide

Anyone else go to Medieval Mayhem in Malahide Castle today? Took my almost four year old son and our baby to it today. We were there shortly before 12 which was definitely far too early. Even though the advertising said it was starting at 11.30 there was nothing happening. No sign of the real life medieval village mentioned on the poster. There were quite a few medieval style stalls with displays of animal skins and helmets and shields and the like. But certainly not enough to justify the entry fee of €10 per adult and €6 for a child. We waited around until almost ten past one but unless the ten guys with swords and spears in the middle of the field counted as the battle reenactment, we saw no sign of that either. If anyone is planning to go with small children, I'd advise a sling rather than a buggy because it's in a field so not very buggy friendly.
