Washing Machine Problem

    Hi

Hoping someone might know something :)

Washing Machine stopped working last night. :o Not sure where the problem is, the door clicks shuts and locks as normal, it tries to fill and spin but nothing.

The wash seems to end after 20 / 30 minutes (usually 90) and when I check the clothes they're slightly damp.

Washing Machine seems to be still connected to the sink and I'm guessing must be as a little bit of water is getting in but then nothing seemingly.

    :(

Check the water inlet pipe for kinks, it could be stopping the water flow.

All seems ok that side, also checked the filter, nothing seems to be obstructing it.

I tried spin only and nothing at all. Seems to want to start but nothing happening.

If the motor isn't turning, then it's likely that the brushes are worn.

    Hi-
Also having trouble with my machine- it wont stop the wash cycle once started. Quite annoying having to auto stop and fish soaking wet clothes from inside.
I just noticed the gentlemens last comment: my machine is a Candy.
    Are they usually problematic?
    Can anyone suggest a fix?
    Thanks guys and gals.

any number of issues can cause a machine not to finish, especially if it is an older machine that does not display error codes, see if it is heating, can it empty, if not it has a pumping problem of some sort, blocked filter, hose or impeded or worn pump and finally is your machine syphoning due to waste hose end at too low a level. it needs to be loose fitting in the stand pipe and higher than the centre of the drum when pushed down, Pop Tarts if you find the brushes are worn clean up the armature end with very fine emery paper before fitting new brushes to stop arcing

When the machine is turned on it makes the same noise repeatedly as if the water is trying to get into the machine.

I have cleaned the filter and had a look at the pipes.

Gonna ring Whirlpool tomorrow to see if they have anybody who still fixes these things!

Check the drain hose at the back hasnt dropped, if it is too low water entering will just flow out and it will constantly try to fill.
