Postgrad late deposit payment

I was offered a postgrad in DCU (multimedia) but didn't realise the deposit had to be paid immediately. I've contacted the fees office, explained myself and expressed my readiness to pay the deposit asap but I'm wondering if this means I'll lose my place? I'm asking here because I won't hear back til after the weekend and…
