hi all, anyone using or heard of blackhawk traverse bipod?i believe they allow one to track your target (rabbit, fox)from left to right, without repositioning the whole rig,and i have read they are on par with harris:confused:

I have a 13" to 23" one and did not like it at first on the .270 but at this time of year it is great for getting over the long grass for the bunnies

I got in Cabelas for about $75 but it cost another $75 for shipping which I did not know about till I had finished the order. It's not on a par with the Harris but not far behind it either. Have a look at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU_Q2U9KkmE

You can see how it operates

Yes it was. I bought it for the .270 for deer and did not like it for that at the start. But when I got the .22 and put it on that. It is great at this time in the long grass where the 13" is too short. Some of the ground I shoot at the moment is long grass and cut fields so the extra height is good. The only drawback with it extended to the 24" is it feels a small bit wobbly but don't let this put you off. Overall it is a great piece of kit.
