Hi,,, I had my 22 week scan today an was told one of babies kidneys is slightly dialated. She said this can happen and can sometimes rectify itself, have to have it checked again in few weeks.
Just wondering has any one out there experienced this an if so did all end up ok??
    Thanks.

Mine showed the same thing - slightly dilated kidney at 22 weeks...
I've got another scan on Wednesday (hospital this time, the 22 week one was done privately), and I'll get them to check it. Will let you know the result.
To be honest, I'm not worried about it - it does seem to be something that resolves itself in the majority of cases. :)

    Hi grarf
Thanks so much for your reply. My 22 week scan was done privately too an im not seen publicly in hospital till 2nd Aug so have to wait till then to no more, so it would be great to hear how u get on Wednesday,if you can.
I'm not overly worried just anxious to find out more in august.
    Thanks

So, had the hospital appointment and scan today, and got the doctor to check the kidneys.
Of course the ultrasound machine they had in the hospital was nowhere near as high-resolution as the one from the private place in Dublin where I got the 22 week scan done  so he couldn't actually see as much (maybe that's part of the reason why that particular hospital doesn't offer anomaly scans by default? Heh.)
Anyhow, he checked the kidneys, and couldn't see anything unusual, no cysts or anything, so looks like everything is ok with the baby - the dilation doesn't seem to have caused any further issues.
    :)
