Catholic Conspiracies

Why do you think the Catholic Church segregate schools according to sex?

I think it has something to do with controlling the male population. I mean where else are people segregated according sex? Prison is one place and the reason why is to facilitate punishment.

And also, confession, the ultimate form of control? Why else would you confess your sins to a total stranger? I robbed such and such or I murdered such and such...

I can remember reading that a lot of rebels were indicted following the 1798 rebellion on the words of priests through confessions

The segregation by sex was to stop any shenanigans between the boys and girls. Sex is a big no-no in the catholic church.

Confess and repent to god and he forgives you apparently, and seeing as priests are supposedly god's representatives on earth, they are by default deputized to hear confession and offer forgiveness on god's behalf. I think the reason this came about is so that so can't just rock up and say, "it's OK I confessed everything to God in my head this morning and he forgives me". By actually saying it to someone (the priest), you are demonstrating that you really do want to get it off your chest.

I don't think it goes any deeper than that.

Now if you want real Catholic conspiracies, research the Vatican and how they run things and their involvement in myriad cover-ups, property-stealing and even assassination.

So you agree then, the church segregates schools so they can control the student population?

It seems as though its a big price to pay for kids to be segregated from the opposite sex when they are in such early years of development.

I think it would likely have a serious impact on any children who go to these schools.

    I do agree.

I went to one of those schools and it didn't do me any harm whatsoever as I just mixed with the girls from my area when I got home. So I think it's a pointless exercise on the church's behalf as they can't continue the segregation outside of school hours.

But as I said previously, there are much murkier goings-on in the church than segregation to be looked at.

Segregation is a red herring as a conspiracy theory.

Why do you think the Catholic Church segregate schools according to sex?

It only happens in Ireland though doesn't it?

I don't think they do it on the continent and that's prob why they're more laid back about gender differences.

Don't see any conspiracy though. I do think gender segregation in Ireland should stop though.

I'm sure it takes place in a lot of other countries. It's bizarre when you think about it, depriving the male population of influence over the female population.

depriving the male population of influence over the female population.

I'm sure most women would actually consider that a good thing :pac:
