    Hi Lads

As John has posted his beautiful new knife I thought I'd do the same.

I just finished this for one of the guys on here.

It's a new design for me "Setanta" nice lines and sits very well in the hand.

This one is hollow ground from 4mm thick RWL34 with a 4" (100mm) cutting edge.
    Satin finished Blade.

The handle is Snakewood with Black liners, Brass mosaic pins and lanyard loop.

    Usual Hand sewn leather sheath.

Here is the same design in Ladder pattern Damasteel with Bottle shaped, Elm Handle, Red Liners and Stainless fittings

Yeah maybe ;) .......... I'll have to think something up, don't want to do the same thing again,,
Anyway money is tight out there so it'd have to be something very fair to everyone, might take some thought.

Could do any number of things & make it profitable & enjoyable.
Might be worth a thread like the ultimate Irish hunting knife 1 to get ideas when your up for it again...
Few ideas to get you thinking - Raffle, lottery, design competition with entry fee - we all sketch 1 & the winner gets it made, different types of knifes, matching sets, link it with another competition such as vermin control etc etc

Next year is the Milenium of the Battle of Clontarf, maybe we could design a knife fit for a king, in honour of Brian Boru, that'd be a nice challenge.

What would ye think of that ????????

Sounds like a great idea. Probably worth it's own thread if a runner...
