FedEx question

    Hi there,

I'm buying some goods online, which will be delivered by FedEx. I don't think I'll be at home on the day of Delivery and I think the parcel needs to be signed for. If I get the sender to put a message on the parcel saying "Leave parcel in Back Garden if no answer" would FedEx do that?

If not, I suppose they bring it back to their depot. Closest one to me is in Shannon I think. Do they charge much to deliver the next day?

You should be able to reschedule a delivery and if they miss once they will deliver again at no cost to you or the sender (well most companies do it this way, not sure about fedex). You could try leave the note on the package about leaving in back garden, I've left notes on my door before asking them to leave it in my green bin and if there's any problem I leave my phone number too.
