My internal doors, I want to trim the tops of them to allow me hang Door Clothes hangers. (the type that clamp over the door top)

Some of the doors accept them fine but some of the doors Wont even close when the hangers are put on absolutely co clearance. The door closes fine without the hangers thou. What is the best tool to buy to pear down the wood on top so i can close the door with the hanger in place? The door is not solid wood they are hollow doors.

Remove the door and plane the top with a hand or electric plane, watch out for nails or staples that are used in the fabrication of doors.
You might get away with cutting notches in the top of the door with a small saw or a stanley knife to let the brackets lie flush.

+1 on the handplane, but you'll also need to clamp a batten to the edges to prevent breakout of the end grain on both corners.

+1 on the battens. As these are hollow doors, treat very tenderly or you could make a mess of them

Is there a gap on the bottom of them, just use a standly and drop the hinges a couple of mm. You may need hinges with holes in slightly different locations. Or just use the existing ones, pilot drill holes and use slightly bigger screws.
