I tried this yesterday. No joy. I cancelled anyway. They won't put you through to team that offers deals unless you that to cancel your subscription. You have to give 30 days notice.

Cancelled yesterday meself and all I got offered was half price multi room & HD subs for 6 months. Basically €15 saving a month, I said not good enough offer, wait n see if any offers come in the post.

Thinking of cancelling sky as well , we do not watch it alot and Saorview would give me the basics. The kids prefer Netflix .

ye don't need codes or anything. We just rang up Sky asked what deals were available and got Sports for €20 a month and offered the broadband for €30 for the first 6 months and then €40 a month thereafter, but you must sign up for a 12 month contract.

So that's €270 for broadband, unlimited download at speed of 4MB per second for a year, so that's €22.50 a month.

I signed up yesterday and am very, very happy with my deal.

I got TV entertainment extra package with sports, hd and a multiroom box for upstairs, basic phone package and unlimited broadband for €82.50 per month for 12 months with no install or setup fee. Very happy I must say. The equivalent with UPC was €130 per month (admittedly with better BB speed but I'm still getting up to 15mbps with sky.) After 12 months it will go to €125 p/m but I can hopefully renegotiate something.

This was from a standard call to the call centre, not quoting any offers etc.

Happy camper, hopefully the BB proves to be reliable.

Yes. It's delivered over a telephone line only.

we don't have a phone line in our house but we have a phone socket and the sky person said that's all we needed and they would send out a wireless modem and we should be good to go.
