Depending on your height, it could be too short to be appropriate.

I'm not tall at all, only 5ft2! Maybe I'll order it and see what it's like on.

Ah, if you're only 5'2 you should be grand, Holly Willoughby (who modeled the dress) is 5'8. :)

It's lovely, perfect for your height.

That's a lovely dress, definitely won't be too short on you given your height. And definitely appropriate for a wedding- looks comfy too. I've spent enough time in uncomfortable dresses at weddings to know that's actually a really important factor! Won't be making that mistake again! Go for it :)

She's 5'8 and its to the knee on her, I wouldn't consider that inappropriate for a wedding at all. I'm the same height and I'd wear it to a wedding.

    Its a fab dress btw.

Yeah I would have thought the length is fine even on Holly. I think unless a dress is well above the knee it's fine for a wedding (assuming the rest of the dress is tasteful too of course! ) But to the knee or just above it is fine in my opinion.

That dress is not knee length on the model. She has her leg bent up and the dress still doesn't quite hit her knee. If you look at her finger tips you can see that the dress is about 3/4 inches off. I'm 5'9", if I were wearing that dress i would consider it to be cutting it close.

It will definitely be a suitable length on the OP. Just pointing out that it would be cutting it close for a taller person.

Wouldn't the dress be even longer when her leg is straight?

Either way, IMO it's plenty long. But I suppose that's what makes fashion interesting, different ideas of where to wear each item.

If it was a tight fitting dress then yes the fabric would move with the knee and the length wouldn't change but with a lose fitting dress her knee can lift up until it touches the dress (which would be a few inches in this case) without disturbing the fabric.

I just spotted they have a great length guide on that page http://www.littlewoodsireland.ie/images/2012/03/lightbox/dress-guide.html

Using that guide the dress is a bit longer than I originally thought. Either the model is very leggy or the pose she is pulling makes the dress appear shorter than it is.

In the guide linked a 36" dress goes just above the knee on a 5'6" person so on a 5'2" person a 36" dress will very likely go over the knee. Some dresses can have unflattering results when they go over the knee when they are designed to be above the knee. I have no idea if it will be bad with this dress, just pointing it out so that you are aware of it before you order.
