    Hi,
I'm going on holiday for two weeks on July the 13th.
My question is if I can inform the welfare this Monday, the 24th of June?

I know it says "You must give a minimum of 10 days notice and you cannot apply more than 21 days in advance"

I just wanted to be sure so I can avoid going to tell them to early or to late.

    Thanks :o

If I were you I'd tell them on the 24th and see if they accept it.
Theres a huge chance they wont and will tell you to come back again nearer the date of your holiday. (Tell them on the 24th to be safe.)

3 weeks before you go, they'll tell you to come back at that date.

thanks very much for the replies guys, however I'm worried now because what I read on the Welfare website and the form I got say different things.

Online it says a minimum of ten days before I go, but the form from my local office says at least 3 weeks before I go

Am I going to lose the payment now?

The reason for the notice is to allow the payment to be stopped while you are away otherwise it would expire and you would have to wait a few weeks to get it back. If you are JA, you are most likely a Tuesday payday so don't call into the office any later than Thursday before you go, 11th July. You won't loose out on the payment.
