There is an open thread on galway city forum.

Also, Galway advertiser.ie is a good spot to check.

Corrib Village maybe.. It's student accommodation and unused in summer I believe.

Just a heads up. There is a big poker tourney there this year for 2 weeks. Book accommodation early if you need it for the races.

What clem thought it would be a good idea to have a big poker tournament in the same week when every hostel and hotel is booked out anyway

The biggest poker people in the world, poker and the Galway races have gone hand in hand for years anyway.

There are about 10-15 b and bs on college road everytime I went to the Galway races I stayed in one of them. Booked last minute on some occasions and prices were always reasonable. Ill try dig out the number of the best one as its a few years since I went down.

Heading down the Friday and coming back the Monday not for the racing mind you but we got rooms in the Corrib Village only €80 for the 3 nights.

You'll prob pay a nice bit over the odds for accomodation on Races Week at Galway. Absolute rip off, learned my lesson about 7 years ago and not been back since!

    Hi

What days do you require accommodation for and for how many people?

I know someone who has a house available.

PM If you still need accommodation.

    Regards,

    Luap
