So basically there was a Kickstarter fundraiser for what is essentially a rape manual, Kickstarter allowed it to be funded because they were only alerted to it a couple of hours before the time for funding ran out, but they said it will lead to a review of their funding guidelines.

Why do publishers print a book like that when genuinely tallented authors get turned away. For example david moody got refused many times on his first book of his Autumn series. I no its not exactly "intellectual" writing but surely its better than this?

That's why. Most publishers these days don't care about trivial things like quality content.. they care about potential sales. Look at the likes of 50 Shades of Grey, and The Secret... depressing but all too real.

It saddens me to say this but somebody needs to write a book for guys on how to actually properly behave and to respect women, and not to give in to our base desires like some animal in heat. I know 99.9% (ok....maybe a very positive percentage there...) of men are very respectful and genuine around women, thanks in part to good parenting, but some guys out there have their heads up their asses, and if stuff like this is in print and circulating and people read it, they might just try this stupid **** out.

I think the whole PUA industry is as creepy and disturbing as fúck, but in this case I dunno. The quotes in the OP were apparently taken from the section of the book that deals with what to do when you're actually getting down to business, not just chatting in the pub or whatever. If a bloke grabbed my hand and put it on his d1ck just out of the blue, I'd probably punch him, but if we were engaged in foreplay I wouldn't mind.

That said I do think "Don't ask for permission" is way disturbing. It's actually quite sexy if a guy stops to check that you're okay with whatever he wants to do, IMHO.;)
