Belgium and the Netherlands considering euthanasia for children

Comments

The whole idea is disturbing but the most disturbing part of this proposal in my view is that it will "relieve suffering for the parents".

    http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/timstanley/100222557/belgium-and-the-netherlands-consider-permitting-euthanasia-for-children-including-to-relieve-suffering-for-the-parents/

    Why should children be excluded.

Because kids do stupid things, ergo are stupid, ergo shouldn't be allowed do stuff.

...aye, totally mad. I'm often amazed we don't get foreign politicians over here on junkets, trying to find out how ye can kick issues 20, 30 years into touch.

That they're going to euthanise children to ease suffering of the parents? No. If you read the article, the correct context is contained therein.

    Have you *met* Dutch children?

I am going to retract that. Dutch kids are great. When a parent drags them away from sweets/toys they go "Naaaaaaaaaay!" instead of "Nooooooooo!". It is far less annoying for some reason.

    Horses do that as well

I keep pointing it out to them, they look at me like I am mental. But then these people think cows go "boo", so I can't imagine what they think horses do.

I dunno, on holidays in France all the Dutch kids hung around in a group, and all of them had orange skin and blond hair, they looked like Star Trek extras.

'Doctor I want to have an abortion please'
'Right so, how far along are you'
    'I think I'm in my 32nd trimester'

    I don't see the problem.

If there's no recovery for the child only pain or a miserable life. Even they should have the right to end it earlier.

Fair point, but I have also never been attacked but a drunk Dutch child, so I would still be pro jongens.
