DEAP-Distribution System Losses and Gains Query?

    Hi guys,

Under the Distribution System Losses and Gains tab,. I have used the 'look up' tool to specify the responsiveness and control categories. The houses is to have underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Everything is fine so far and I get a control and response category assigned.

However at the very bottom of this tab, there is a line which says 'is there underfloor heating in the ground floor?'. The answer box is shaded out, and the answer currently in the box is 'NO' but I cant change it.
Similarly in the results tab, there is a value of zero beside the 2011 Part L u-value line of 'rooms with underfloor heating'

Id appreciate if someone could tell me why this is? What am I doing wrong in terms of assigning the underfloor heating to the project?

    Thanks

in the "building elements" tab, in the 'floors' section...

do you have the 'under floor heating' box ticked?

i think that may be your issue

By the way Syd, I had another question. I have entered solar water heating data, and the annual energy saved is 1264 kWh/year.

This shows up under the results tab under the Part L Conformance sub-tab as 11kWh/m2/year, which is above the 10kWh/m2/year minimum.

However under the main results tab, it doesn't show up under the renewable and energy saving technologies line, nor doe the bar-chart on the right show any green bar?

    Any ideas?

the "renewable and energy saving technologies" tab is for renewables not included or allowed for in the DEAP assessment

ie if you have some solar and some PV to meet regs.
    or PV alone
or your solar gives additional space heating as well as water
or you have a wind turbine etc

eg if you have a large solar array which has a solar fraction of, say, 90%... then the system is most probably also offering space heating. This causes your main space heat heating to go into negative figures and thus the green bar on the chart
