BTEA and redundancy

I was made redundant at the end of January and at the time, I applied through the CAO as a mature student with the hope of getting into college in September. Since February, I have been getting JB.

I've just been offered a college place which I intend to accept. But as I was looking through the Back to Education Allowance form, I noticed that they ask if I received statutory redundancy, and that I require form RP50 to go with the application.

Now, I was voluntarily made redundant, but part of the payment was statutory. I didn't receive an RP50, will this be an issue in applying for BTEA? I'm won't be 9 months claiming a SW payment by September, which is the other way of being eligible.

    Help?

Get on to your previous employer and ask for your RP50.
