Has anyone done the nail technician course in Limerick Central College? I'm just wondering if it would be a good one to do as I am a complete beginner and have found so many different courses that I'm confused. They are all different durations and prices. For example, I found a few that cost between €600 and €800 and the course is only 3 or 4 days. But I'm thinking these are for people already in the business who want to update their skills. Any advice at all would be great.

Hi I've just finished nail technician course in the central college I'm April, and in my experience in was crap!! Be warned its more of a business course and salon reception than anything else!! Accounting, business admin, database, communications, customer service, word processing, reception n front line office skills, work experience, is what the course involves, they bring a women down from dublin/ star nails on one day to train on a fake hand which u don't really learn off that, my half of the class didn't evem get to do the nails coz the women wudnt come.down again!! I ended.up finishing the course anyway n goin to nails4you.ie is women's beauty world on sexton street in limerick up over o sullivans pharmacy for €360 for 3 day ull learn how to do gel nails n designs far better than havin all d business n accounts which I didn't sign up for!!

Thanks Lyndilynda. I actually ended up calling Limerick Central College and was told I'd be better off going to one of the private colleges because there's only 3 days in the whole year that you're actually taught how to do nails. So I've decided to do a beautician course instead. I can always specialize in nails later on. Thanks for the info and advice. :)
