    Hi all,

For the last two days trying to adjust front derailleur. No progress at all, weather is so great and Im going mental because I cannot manage.
Followed instruction in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxV_vKlgolc and many more but yet chain won't lift onto bigger chainring.
    What am I doing wrong?
I have this kind of shifter product.image.+media+images+cycling+products+bikecomponents+ST+ST-2300_600x450_v1_m56577569830678371_dot_jpg.bm.512.384.gif
What position it should be on when starting the adjustment?

It should be on its slackest. So click the thumb lever multiple times while pulling on the cable.
    1. Release cable clamp bolt on derailleur
    2. Adjust inner limit screw so the chain runs properly on the inner ring
    3. Pull cable tight through clamp bolt
    4. Tighten clamp bolt
    5. Push brake lever sideways to select outer ring
    6. Adjust outer limit screw as needed

If you bought the bike in a shop (you posted it's a new bike to you) they should be able to adjust it for you in a couple of minutes. Learning to do it yourself is worthwhile, but a bit frustrating.

Park Tools guide referred to above is here:
    http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/front-derailleur-adjustments

Its a good guide and working thro it slowly is the way to learn. If this isn't working for you, can you get somebody to show you?

    Thanks guys.
Wanted to learn how to do it myself, besides shop I got the bike from its not close by so thought I can avoid a trip but looks like I wont:)
Shifted a chain with my hands on big chainring then tried to adjust outer limit. Chain was falling of the chainring or rubbing it.
Oh well, Im not self-sufficient :p
