Koka noodles, ordinarily €3, are €1.08 for a pack of 5(85g each)!

The single packs are normally €0.85c on their own.

The own brand noodles in Lidl, which taste exactly the same IMO, are 20c each all the time :)

That's a great price for Koka noodles though.

Sorry, maybe it is just my local store.

    It was Tesco, Jervis...

Was it the old style 5 packs? Tried both Douglas and mahon in cork and in both places all varieties (new style packaging) were 3 euro.

In Tesco Baggot St they had Japanese style noodles in the 'ethnic food' section at 52c a packet.

While the noodle might be the same, the flavour sachet is not. That's where the difference lies.

Ah yeah, maybe the sachet is slightly better quality but is it 80c better quality? Just add a bit extra to the saucepan.

Curry flavour - add some heat with a drop of piri piri
Chicken - A little bit of chicken stock in the water while you are cooking them.

    Etc.
