Currently both myself and my partner are unemployed having been made redundant last year.

We both get JSA with a half increase each for our child and we also receive rent allowance.

Obviously we are both eager to get back to work but we're unsure how it will work with benefits if one of us gets a job and the other doesn't.

Say for example I get a 40 hour week job @ minimum wage worst case scenario. This would give me €346 before tax.

Would my partner lose his JSA and also our rent allowance because of this?

    I'm unsure how it works.

As I said we're both eager to get back to work but of course we don't want to be financially worse off than we are now.
