Reverse light

HI The reverse light in my vw polo is not working when I put it in reverse, however when I press the alarm button on my keyring to unlock car, those lights come on, the reverse light bulbs have been changed so would I be right in thinking that it is the reverse light switch? Regards Maggie

u sure your changing the reverse light bulb and not the indicator bulbs:P

Reverse light shouldn't light up when you pres the keyfob to lock/unlock car.
The indicator lights do.
