Ultra Music is without doubt a name that has been synonymous with the rise of dance music over the past few years. This is largely thanks to the series of incredibly successful festivals the brand has hosted in locations such as Seoul, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and most notably Miami. This July Ultra will host their first ever European festival in Hvar, Croatia. To coincide with this, Residence is delighted to announce a new partnership with Ultra which will see the Official Republic of Ireland Countdown to Ultra Europe show hosted in Dublin.

The Countdown to Ultra tour will stop off on Friday July 5th in our weekly home of The Village, Wexford Street, where we will be joined by none other than Deniz Koyu, one of the most exciting artists to put his name to the Ultra Europe 2013 lineup. Joining the lineup we will have Northern Ireland’s Junior J and our very own Residence DJs Simon Says and Freddy Gilbert.

Ultra has become recognized as one of the most innovative in the game in regards to stage production and eye catching visuals and on July 5th the Village will have the benefit of a full Ultra experience along with additional branding and graphics.

Taking to the stage as the main act for the official Countdown party will be German producer and DJ, Deniz Koyu, a man who is without doubt the one of the heirs apparent to the dance music throne. It all kicked off for him in 2011 with the release of Tung on Flamingo Recordings which attracted monumental attention and resulted in his tracks being playlisted by everyone from Tiesto to Swedish House Mafia. He also found time to release bangers like "Hertz" (also on Flamingo Recordings) and remixes for James Blunt's "Dangerous" and Kaskade's "Turn It Down" all three of which received widespread plaudits.

Fedde Le Grand voted Deniz "Breakthrough DJ/Producer 2011", Sebastian Ingrosso called him "big time talent", and Axwell replied to the question of a Swedish journalist if he had personal favourites among young DJs: "Deniz Koyu. He makes damn cool music at the moment." This is a man who has attracted the consistent praise of those at the top of the mainroom game.

Production-wise Deniz kicked off 2012 with a remix for Fedde Le Grand's "So Much Love", a heavyweight collaboration with Fedde and Johan Wedel on "Turn It", and his uber-hit single "Bong". Next up was a new track with Wynter Gordon called "Follow You" and stunning remixes for Zedd, Digitalism, Miike Snow and David Guetta.

Koyu also kicked off 2013 in style with "Halo" a collaboration with Dirty South on his Phazing label. In February Deniz will launched the "Generation Wild" Tour, which took him to 20 cities in 25 days in North America. This past March also saw the follow-up to "Bong", new anthem "Rage" getting a release on Sebastian Ingrosso's Refune imprint. With all this in mind it’s no wonder he takes pride of place on this years Ultra Europe lineup and is ideally placed to lead proceedings at The Village on July 5th.
