Instant Hot Water Taps

Does anyone know anything about instant hot water taps - not the ones for tea but the ones for washing dishes, I have GFCH for heating the rads which also heats the water and I use electric showers.

In the summer I have to either turn the immersion on or boil a kettle to wash dishes etc - does anyone know if a instant hot water tap would be a solution?

The down side I can see at the moment is during the winter the GFCH also heats the water - this will then be unavailable through the kitchen sink because the hot water supply is gone..

    Anyone any ideas?

Bought an eht10 hot water tap from watersave.ie. Thought i would pay the extra money for a non chinese ebay, higher quality model, sourced in ireland for a change. cost around 200 euro. (There are 50 euro ones on ebay now - but water and electricity dont mix ; unless properly earthed, it could electrocute you.You get what you pay for) Failed after 16 months. (went short circuit ). Ignore the marketing rubbish about return on investment from 90% of the manufacturers/vendors/electric efficiency experts, and talk to a plumber about what is the best make. I estimated the tap saved me 15 euro per month or approx ROI of 18months. But that excludes diy installation hours, installation of dedicated elec cct, and the extreme hassle when it fails. Because you no longer have hot running water connected to your faucet. so pencil in minimum 2 DIY hours to replace with a spare that you are going to have to keep.
Hot water electric taps are a great example of immature technology that in theory solve a problem (provide on demand hot water cheaper than your immersion) and in practice, are just one more thing that is likely to break and ,on balance, will, unless you have a 5 year guarantee, hi quality one. (If you are a plumber, please recommend one here!) Just look at the watersave.ie forums to see all the 'thanks for the great service replacing my failed tap' or ' thanks for the prompt service replacing the element' . Then ask yourself; Is it worth the hassle?" Belatedly, I know my answer to this; No.

50 cents a day is 7 kWh of gas or 2.5 kWh of elec.
What power in kWs was the piece of junk!

Zip units are good, and they have a super range but are very expensive.

I have a 10 ltr under sink heater and it does the job nicely.Used for the washing up only, doesn't do for making tea
