    Hi All,

I'm looking for a few bits for an old 80's Peugeot that I'm working on.
Anyone got an new/old pair of pedals with straps?
Also looking for some long reach brake calipers...don't think I'll go down the Sheldon home drop route just yet! :)
Trying to keep budget to a minimum. Can meet in the Dublin area.

    Thanks,
    S

    I've recently overhauled 1985 Peugeot PH11 with Tektro R369 55 - 73mm calipers: http://spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m2b0s100p1957

You should be fine with these if you don't mind they lack the quick release: http://spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m2b0s100p149

With Parcel Motel you should get them around e30 delivered.

Just make sure you'll order the nut mounted version!

a pair of mafic centre pull brakes should work for you if you cant find long reach calipers.

Are you looking for any pedals, or do you want period correct pedals?

Aren't they mounted on fork/seatstay pivots? Most peugeots from that era do have them.

you can get ones that mount like normal road calipers, and ones that mount on braze on bosses afaik. They are actually called Mafac (not Mafic). Google for more info :)

Thanks alkos! I'll look into them if I cannot source them local first.
I know to go for the nut mounted ones if ordering. :)

    Thanks lennymc.

They don't have to be period correct... but I'd prefer to go with metal or maybe something not too 'plastic' looking...just as long as they are in good enough condition.

Do you have a set of mafacs available? If so do you have complete with cable stops and levers?

sorry no, I dont have them available, just giving you another option. If your not to worried about being period correct I may have a set of pedals at home. Ill take a look later on and let you know.
