    ÌF your course has compensation, then as far as i know it works as follows:

    if you get 50% in module A and 35% in module B, then that 10% over the pass mark in A can bring you up to 40% in B. I think they balance it out then as 40% and 40%. As far as i know, if you're below 35% then you can't pass by compensation? :o

    Its something along those lines from what I've heard, i dont have compensation myself. Someone else may be able to confirm.

    I'm not sure of the numbers, but I think you have to have over a certain mark to use a subject to compensate another. So e.g. you might have to have a first in one subject (>70%) to compensate a 35% mark in another. 50% might not be enough. And there's a limit to how many subjects you can use compensation for...I think it varies between departments though.
