i have a BitFenix Merc Alpha case with a 7870 XT and a AMD FX 6300, all stock coolers and one rear fan, (unsure of size). the rig is a beast for games but its as loud as F, under load.

    How to reduce noise??

    more fans??

i was thinking of getting a load of Noctua NF-F12PWM Case Fan 120 mm.

what is the best positioning?, push , pull ?????

What model of 7870xt is it?

Case fans should help keep the cpu and g-card cooler which should reduce noise. The stock coolers would be louder than most though. Try and find out what is causing most of the noise. Stress it , open the case and see if it's the card, cpu or both.

You could get some cheap fans with a cable splitter and control their speed from the BIOS. Anything that's not sleeve bearing is good.

3 intakes and 2 exhausts should do the trick. Make sure your board has at least 1 x 4 pin fan header though.

These fans are very decent for the price. They are loud at full speed though so they need to be turned down in the bios or desktop bios software. You could pick 4 of them up with a cable splitter for €28 on amazon.

Gfx card is the club3d edition . what do you think is the best positioning for the fans ? side intake , top exhausts ?

2 front, 1 bottom or side intakes. 1 rear and rear-top exhaust.

Make sure your board has a 4 pin fan header if you're ordering those.

Those fans are quite loud at stock full speed but you should turn them down to around 50% and they will be quiet.

Find out what is making the noise though. A cpu cooler may be a better option if it's that.
