Hi there

My husband and I are buying a second car. Current car is in my name, he is a named driver. Need to get insurance sorted ASAP for new car.

Generally speaking is it cheaper to have the second car in his name, with me as a named driver? Or not much difference to have me again as the owner of this new car, with him as named driver?

Also - I am buying from a private seller - can I just get the tax disc sorted in advancen and fill out the change of ownership form when I pick up? Was hoping to take ownership of car this weekend.
