    Has anyone sold scrap cats to scrap dealers? What are the going rates? I have a cat which i brought second hand hoping it would get me through the NCT, but, alas failed epiccally. Im hoping the money gained will go towards another unit.

    Depends on where you go, what car it's off, how big it is etc

    Its off a subaru impreza turbo. Fairly big as it is on te down pipe.

    All depends what materials the cat is made from tbh, it can vary abit

    For cat from 98 fiat brava 1.2 I got about 40 quid, but it was in Poland.
    I don't know what the rates could be in Ireland, but I'd be interested to find out.

    If i put a decat on my car im gonna make sure and put a trollface sticker on it for when some arse tries to rob it off the car.

    Would be a priceless moment

    As a comparison with CiniO for a 00 Bravo 1.2 (same underfloor cat job) I got £30 and another time with the same type of cat £40
