    Hi there,

Until 2010 I was a mobile DJ in the UK, down in Dover, Kent.

Just wondering what the market demand is like for wedding DJ, party DJ and karaoke evenings in the Galway area.
I am guessing there is very little demand, but what do I know :)

Good DJs are always in demand but realistically Ireland is so small, that its not a big deal for a DJ in Dublin to do a gig in Galway, Limerick or Cork given the motorways now in place. Yes it would cost fuel but factoring that into your price point and you can make it work.

as a Galway based Dj both city and county I know the scene well...
out the country i.e B'sloe, Loughrea, Tuam its small depends on who ya know..Money is alrite but a lot of undercutting goes on.
City is competitive good standard of club djs but the mobile scene is terrible..guys showing up with poor equipment and lack of knowledge on how an event should be..

Compared to the UK there is huge difference in terms...networking is ur best bet to land some work
