    Hi,
I see tickets for this are on-sale now, they have a super early bird special offer on for €495. I'm sure it's worth it, some really big names listed, but it is still quite an eye watering amount.

    http://www.websummit.net/tickets.html

I've always wanted to attend this in the past years but never had the chance. Started working on my own startup in the past week, so I'm going to make it there this year whether I have to beg, borrow or steal tickets :D

Anyway the reason for the post is that I'd like to hear from anyone who's previously attended the summit, any tips or advice, maybe even thought's as to whether it's good value for money. As I mentioned my start up is still very much in the idea, business model prep stage, I'd hope to have a business plan complete and be working on a MVP by October, but I'd really only be going to get involved in the seminars and meet some people & have a laugh. ;)

€495 is a lot of money to pay for a few seminars and to have a laugh! I was at the very first Web Summit which was interesting enough but much smaller than it is now and my ticket was a freebie so I can't really advise what it is like these days. You might however be interested in one that is on in NCI in the IFSC later this month and a lot less expensive - DotConf. I've been to this every year since it started and it is always fun, informative and most importantly full of people who work in the same industry who are more than happy to hang round and have chats with people afterwards. It's great for making new contacts. I think there are still tickets available, they cost €10 :D

    FOR A TENNER:D:D

That sounds brilliant, I hadn't heard of that one at all. Just checked the line up there and it looks great.

    Thanks Miamee,
