Please help in any way if you can...

I bought a 2007 Lx Connection Ford Focus from a Used Cars Dealer at the end of December 2012. It came with a six month warranty.

In late January, the car went completely flat after 2 days of not being used. I jumpstarted it, then took the car back into the garage and got them to look it over/check the batteyr etc. Everything was apparently fine. I took the car home thinking I had left some lights on or something.

The same problem happened a month or two later, left the car for 2 days and went to drive it and was completely dead/didn't recognise fob or anything. I definitely didn't leave anything on. At this stage I had become a control freak about turning everything off and double checking.

Loads of things were checked out in the car and nothing resolved. They put a stronger battery into the car.

Everything was ok until I went on holidays a couple of weeks ago and left my car with my father. Same thing happened, the car went dead after a couple of days and my father had to jumpstart the car.

I took the car back into the garage last week. I was told it could be the ignition switch. Today I was told they couldn't find a drain. He did nothing about the ignition switch. He will not take it to a Ford Dealer to assess the problem. I can't get him to do anything. His solution today, was for me to leave it in the garage with him until Wednesday, for me to take the keys, and if I come back on Wednesday and the car starts, sure it must be grand!!

I had to cry to get him to extend my warranty in writing until September.

What is my next step? I am totally stressed out dealing with this cowboy. Do I take the car and go and get a second opinion from the main Ford dealer? Or can he wash his hands of me at that stage? I don't know what to do, but he won't take this seriously and get to the bottom of it.
    HELP ME!!

Does the car have keyless entry ? I don't know much about it but you would often here of it causing problems on here. I think the main issue is the car thinks the key is near even when it's not. It leaves on the mileage display dtc and runs down the battery. Sorry I'm not of much help but you could try google keyless entry problems.

its the ignition switch, i reckon, known problem on these, will continue to drain the battery on and off, till the ignition is changed. your looking at between 250-500 euro, for ford to sort it. but it won't go away.
