Hi I have just returned from the USA and while staying with friends enjoyed their cuisinart single serve coffee machine. They has various coffee types for it like Starbucks half caff and rich roast etc.
I would like to purchase a similar type of machine here. What do we have here that would compare with it. How easy are the coffee pods available ?
    Thanks in advance for replies

Why not consider an aeropress and some fresh coffee?

Bean to cup - Jura. Boomproof Swiss technology. Had my J5 for over two years, never a bother.

Aeropress. I got one at the weekend and it's great.

Tassimo does a hassle free cup and a good step up from instant.
Half price in Tesco right now. Used one for years until I upgraded.
Source discs in bulk online via parcel motel.

Where do you source the T disks online?

I have got them from the Tassimo website or when I visit the North of Ireland . Asda & Tesco sell them there. 20 pound buys you a lot.

The Carte Noire Intenso and Kenco Colombian where my favs. The others tasted very weak like petrol station coffee.

The Caramel Macchiato was a weekend treat. All fairly decent compared to other fully auto machines.

If you are online, buy a few descaling tabs while you are at it. I have very soft water and the machine still needs descaled every 6 months. In hard water I could be ever six weeks. The machine will refuse to work if it is not done.

Yes and with a bit of juggling you can knock out a nice latte-ish in a couple of mins.

There are loads of better coffees. Try coffeemojo.ie for delivery in Ireland, Try Vice in Twisted Pepper or 3FE in Dublin for some great coffee. Or read the stickied threads here, they have loads of advice.
