finding out about a business name

    If a businness is trading under a business name could it also have a limited company name?

    Sam Smith owns a shop. Shop trades under business name of sams shop

    Could it also be a limited company smiths limited?

    How does one find out who owns sams shop?

    A limited company can register a business name.

    Check on the CRO website. You can search for the business name and purchase the registration details.
