Depends on the bike. 125cc 2t 20k is high, on a vfr750 its nearly run in.

Depends on many factors. A well maintained bike that is low. My Deauville has 42000 miles and I do min of 500 a week but shemis serviced every 4000 miles. I also have a BMW K100lt with 87000 on the clock, engine only just broken in, clutch or gearbox just gave up

I'd prefer to buy a well cared for 50k bike, then a ragged and neglected 15k one

mileage is only one piece of the puzzle

Definitely. Looking at a 60K sprint st 1050 atm, full service history and in spotless condition. Nothing like peace of mind knowing that its been taken care of.

Just a phone call to confirm with the dealer, the guy has been using the same dealer to service since he bought the bike.

I always try to buy with the lowest mileage possible, then again I always buy 2T Vespas. I try to get as clean a bike as possible regarding bodywork but if something like the indicator is smashed or sidepanel scrapped it's no big deal...parts are very cheap. I always customise them anyway and spent a bit of money doing them up to my liking.
