So, I had my first fall a couple of weeks ago (no damage done, except to my pride!) and I'm wondering is there anything I can do to stop myself from falling if my tyre rubs off the tyre of the guy in front - I know its up to me not to touch him but is there a technique to rebalance the bike before you go down?

Even the pros can't do it. Not much you can do. It will happen too quickly for you to be able to react and if you don't fall off, it's properly luck.

Prevention being better than cure, try not to touch wheels, that's the only technique you need. If you do go down, hope for the best.
