    Howdy all,

Need your help with the MLB Post Season 2013.

Can anyone tell me when it starts?? I will be in New York from 29th Sept to 6th Oct and was wondering if the Post season will be that week or do they take a week or two break after the regular season.

Looking at the Yankees website the final game of their regular season is away on the 29th Sept. Would really love to get to a game while over there, really should have looked at the dates better before booking:(

September 29th is the last day of the regular season.

The playoffs start more or less immediately, normally after a one or two day gap. However the schedule obviously won't be known until sometime in September (if teams clinch early) and possibly not until September 29th.

Also, there is no guarantee the Yankees are going to the post season:D (Go O's!)

I would guess that the day after the regular season ends is the day kept for any playoffs required if regular season records are tied. Then 2 days after should be the day for the 1-off wildcard playoff games (so Oct 1st)

You could always go watch the Mets if the Yankees don't make the playoffs!

No, I'm not being serious. I just need to amuse myself from time to time

Even if they start the playoffs on the road, game 3 should definitely be before the 6th

However it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't make the playoffs at all. The AL East is very tight this season and they're all going to take games off each other so it'll be tight

Don't worry, there's not a snowballs chance in hell of the Mets getting to the playoffs.
