I'm nearly ready to buy the build. I'm buying 4 parts, the case, the monitor, the ssd and the psu from Amazon and the rest fom hardwareversand.de. I just want some help making sure I'm getting the right parts and I'm not getting caught on price somewhere.
I also accidently bought the parts on hardwareversand with "prepayment". I was checking out pricing options. Does anyone know what it is? They're being very quiet on customer service when I tried to cancel. I'm afraid they won't cancel in time. Buying from both sites puts the total at €1215. Thanks

You should buy as much as possible on HWVS, you'd save a lot of money.

I don't really want to send a case and monitor from Germany and the psu and ssd were out of stock.

    Why not?

HWVS usually restock within a week or so.

Call me impatient. Do you happen to know the delivery time for hardwareversand? The order confirmation mentioned something about two weeks. I'd also be afraid of damage and the weight charge. I'll look more into when I cancel the order. I only saw their prices last night and was amazed at the difference.

there is only about 15 quid difference in their standard prices assuming that everything on amazon is eligible for free delivery. also amazon have better customer service and return policies

HWVS have a flat 19 euro delivery charge. That's it. Stuff only takes 3 days to deliver, give 2 days for payment to go through.

You'd save more than 15 quid of you bought as much as possible from HWVS. The graphics card alone is over 25 euro cheaper on HWVS. The case is 72 euro on HWVS, 70 pounds on Amazon. And that's all I've looked at so far...

i just calculated the individual prices, taking shipping into account it is only around 15 quid difference. the ram is significantly cheaper on amazon

The 120GB Samsung 840 is cheaper and faster. I'd also look into a better PSU. Something around the 450-500W mark, maybe 80+ Gold if you can manage it. The CX series is a bit on the low-end.

Do you mean it's only 15 quid difference between buying everything on amazon and the german site? I got 1216euro if I buy the 4 and 7 mix and 1274 if I buy entirely from amazon.

The RAM has already been bought I think.

But I briefly checked - I was wrong about the prices, Amazon isn't far off in fair was.

Take Serephecus's advice with regard to parts.

I was wondering about wattage alright. I went with 600 just in case. I couldn't get the 840 delivered to Ireland from Amazon. I might try again on the Hwversand one.

its only that difference for all the items that are stocked by both. hwvs don't have that monitor but they have imo better ones for the same money. so if you are dead set on that monitor then i think amazon will be better, if not then get the 24" lg ips one (and everything else) from hwvs

also if some of the stuff isnt eligible for free delivery, go for hwvs

do the individual calculations for yourself just to make sure. you will make a bit more of a saving if you use the http://geizhals.at/de/ site, i just couldnt be bothered doing all that earlier and some things have no discount on it anyway. graphics cards, cpu and motherboard are likely to though

Thanks for doing that. I might stick with the gigabyte 7950. I think it has better fans and I wouldn't be overclocking the video card. The monitor and ssd look nice. I might check up on the psu as I've never heard of the brand but it looks much better than the old one.

You should definitely overclock it. You have an Solid 20% performance instead over core clock speeds if you OC. I have my own at 1200mhz, which is 25% fast than yours at top speed. It's easy, too, and quite safe :)

Just ask for some tips here :)

Will it require any extra cooling. I'll be happy enough to get started on a proper computer first :)

No you can overclock the club 3d with the stock cooler by easily 20-25% as long as the card has access to some nice cool air!

Sorry for butting into your conversation but I generally find that apples stuff can do the job nicely for online gaming? The new iMac is as follows:
    13-inch : 256GB
    1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
    Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz
    Intel HD Graphics 5000
    4GB memory
    256GB flash storage1
    Dispatched:
    Within 24 hours
    Free Delivery
    €1,349.00
    Includes VAT of approx. €252.00.*

I know it's abit more expensive but definitely worth it for overall satisfaction and enjoyment.
Apple are good machines, if you drop the iPhone the components are so compact it won't break.

Macs are terrible for gaming and terrible in general for anything compared to pc. Overpriced subpar hardware and software choices.

I'm not going to get into a pc vs mac debate though.
