Are there many cycling events for non competitive cyclists?

Hi, I see 5k fun runs popping up all around the country lately and was wondering if there were any equivalent leisure races in cycling that are pretty much non competitive and just for a bit of fun.

I did check a load of sites today but most of the cycle events were 100k+ so if anyone can offer any advice please do, thanks.

A lot of those 100km+ cycles would have shorter distances also starting from 10km "family loops" and up. My own club's sportive, the Tour de Kilkenny, has 40km, 70km, 110km and 160km options, which are ideal for anyone starting out. The Tour de Burren this weekend has a 10km option. I would also recommend joining a cycling club to learn how to ride correctly and in a group aswell as getting used to it and building up your fitness.
