file wont burn from usb to dvd

    I have a .re4 file saved on my usb key. I am trying to burn it onto a dvd but it wont do it. Even when i try dragging the file over to the dvd all i hear is a ping. Can anybody help. Thanks in advance

    the software probably doesn't recognize the filetype

    Try put on hard drive first. Thrn hsrd drive to dvd?

    are you burning a data dvd or a dvd that you want to play in actual dvd players?

    I just tried putting it on te hard drive the putting it on the dvd it still wont work. Its a data dvd its 420mb

    try zipping it up and put it on then?

    its fine

    right click the file and click add to "filename" .zip

    or something along those lines

    i dont actually know tbh. Its on my toshiba laptop here. Its always played dvd's before but as i said im a novice to all of these things

    Ah your fine so, I've often tried to read dvds on older pcs before realising there was only a cd player installed!
    How big is the file btw? If its over 4.7 Gbs the dvd wont be big enough

    sorry guys for wasting your time i got sorted. I was shown that my dvd i was trying to burn to had read only box ticked on it. Thanks for the help again it was much appreciated i learned a couple of things anyway
