new TV and can't tune Saorview - HELP

HI Just bought a Sony 42EX443 today. Its says its Saorview ready but I can't get Saorview tuned in - the picture & sound is choppy and distorted (funny thing is - the "guide" is coming in though.) All i have is the TV plugged in and also the aerial cable plugged from the wall into the TV........result is all distortion.…

HI

Just bought a Sony 42EX443 today. Its says its Saorview ready but I can't get Saorview tuned in - the picture & sound is choppy and distorted (funny thing is - the "guide" is coming in though.)

All i have is the TV plugged in and also the aerial cable plugged from the wall into the TV........result is all distortion.

For a test, we got a saorview box and plugged it in (via HDMI) and everything is perfect!

What am i doing wrong that the TV will not pick up the SV on its own?:mad:

I'd doubt you are doing anything wrong: I would think the aerial system just isn't good enough & the Saorview box must be better able to cope with a poor signal.
