Is it possible to buy a stand that will hold the front and back axles to make a bike stationary so it could be used as a spin bike? Just want it to do some cardio before a workout.

There's two kinds of indoor trainers you can buy at the moment - Rollers and Turbo Trainers.

Rollers you have to balance yourself on, makes it a bit less boring.

Turbo trainers you don't balance on, but they have variable resistance. Still, generally they are considered a bit more boring.

This is about as cheap as they get. It will be quite noisey, noisier than more expensive ones, but still totally usable. Also, if you are buying any turbo trainer, you will likely need to buy yourself a turbo-trainer specific tyre to deal with the huge extra friction and heat involved.
